LITHGOW AREA COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

The Coalition’s proposal for a nuclear reactor at Mount Piper power station has raised a lot of questions from the community over the last two days.

I’m not ideologically opposed to nuclear power. I’ve had the benefits of nuclear medicine scans and I continue to support the AUKUS submarines.

However, like other local community representatives, I think it’s fair enough to ask these questions and fair enough to have them answered.

We simply can’t wait months or years for major party consultation to occur.

That’s why tomorrow I’ll be starting that process in Lithgow.

Further consultations across the Lithgow area will follow.

On Saturday I’ll be at the coffee shop at the Lithgow Workies between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Come along and grab a cuppa, have a chat and let me know what you think about this or any other topic that you’d like to raise!

See you there!

When: Saturday 22nd June 2024

Time: 1.30pm to 3.30 pm

Place: Lithgow Workies Coffee Shop
